Life Membership
Updated June 27, 2023
To be a Life member you must fall into one of the three examples below.
1. Life membership occurs when you have completed 35 continuous years in the club, if voted into the club before Jan 1, 2012. A Bylaws change has grandfathered these members. *
2. If you have reached the age of 65 and have completed 15 continuous years in the club, this applies only to members who were in the club before December 31, 2011. A Bylaws change has grandfathered these members. *
3. Effective January 1, 2012 all new members who were voted in after December 31, 2011 must have 40 continuous years in the club to become a Life member. This requirement reflects the Bylaws change.
Life Membership dues are $50.00.
Life Members who have not reached 62 years of age will still have a work hour fee added to their dues slip each year if they did not complete any of the volunteer 10 hours of service to the club for that year. Being a Life member under 62 does not relieve you of work hours.
The key information used to compile this, is your date of birth and the year you joined the club. Without this information we cannot compute your life member year. If either is wrong on your records you must contact me so that I can update your records. Otherwise I will assume the records (as submitted on your original membership application) are correct and you may miss out on becoming a life member when you should be eligible. This information is listed on your dues renewal slip each year.
* If you become 65 and have 15 years or complete 35 years as a member in the current year, this means you will be eligible the FOLLOWING YEAR. When the dues are mailed out you must be eligible at that time in order to be a life member for that year you are being billed for. Email me if you have any questions.
Life Membership is effective on Jan 1st of each year, New Life members will have a Life Member badge number assigned and their new badge will be placed on the Life Member board. Their old regular membership badge will be removed from the regular membership badge board on Dec 1. The dues slip is mailed out and will reflect their new Life member badge number.
Each year when the due slips go out, a member can see what year they will be eligible for life membership by looking at the top right of the dues slip. It will tell you what year you will become a life member.
If your records are wrong, please fill out this form and submit it, I will contact you via email to confirm the information. click
